Welcome to the Test Villages U3A.  Set up in 2010, Test Villages U3A  serves the villages of Kings Somborne, Stockbridge, Longstock, the Tytherleys, Houghton, Broughton, the Wallops, Clatford, Wherwell, Barton Stacey and Chilbolton and the other village communities in this area.

General meetings with speakers are held on the first Wednesday of each month at Longstock Village Hall, from 2 to 4pm. Monthly meetings are well attended and our speakers cover an interesting and diverse range of subjects (see the monthly meetings link on the left). The programme for 2018 is in place and promises to be as interesting and diverse as this year's.

Members are encouraged to share their knowledge and talents, and our U3A groups reflect our members' interests. Our groups are varied and active (see links on the left). We welcome suggestions for new groups.

If you are interested in joining or would like to know more please contact  Geoff Thompson (01264 782771),, John Temple (01264 861334), or Liz Ottley (01794 301511).  Membership is open to anyone over 50, who is no longer in full time employment, and is resident in the Test Villages area, subject to our limit on numbers

Virtual U3A

Print

The Virtual U3A (vU3A), which went live in January 2009, is an online-only U3A, affiliated to the Third Age Trust. One of its principal aims is to provide the U3A experience for those who are rendered isolated in some way by circumstances or geography and unable to play a full part in a terrestrial U3A. More information is available on the public website www.vu3a.org where one can also apply for membership. Why not pay it a visit? And if you know of anyone who might benefit, please pass the information on.
