Reading Group




The Reading Group meets on the 4th Thursday of the month at 2:30 in the afternoon.  Members choose the titles we read as a group, and at the moment the focus is on contemporary novels and non-fiction.  Our discussions are relaxed and informal and we meet in each other's houses.

The group is now in its sixth year and we have in the past discussed a wide range of books from Lionel Shriver's challenging 'We need to talk about Kevin', to Edmund De Waal's biographical history 'Hare with Amber Eyes', to Barabara Demick's eye-opening book on North Korea, 'Nothing to Envy'. This year's book list is shown below.
